Department of E&CE and CIII Successfully Host PCB Design Workshop

On March 22, 2026, the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering (E&CE), in collaboration with CIII at SDMCET, successfully organized a comprehensive PCB Design Workshop. Coordinated by members of Team Unnati, the event saw enthusiastic participation from 18 teams, comprising 36 students.

The workshop proved to be a resounding success, with all participating batches achieving functional outputs on the very same day, marking a 100% success rate. The event was further enriched by the presence of distinguished alumni, who visited the venue to address the students and share valuable insights during interactive sessions.

Thanks to SDMCET Management, Principal Dr R. L. Chakrasali, Dean CIII Dr. Satish Bhairannawar and Smt. Vidya, HOD Dr. S. A. Joshi, all staff of ECE, special thanks to Dr. S. S. Kerur, Dr. K. N. Patil and Mr. Bhimappa.

Congratulations to Mr. Shashank Kavali, Mr.Somesh Kumar M, Mr.Vinayak S Amminbhavi, Ms. Stuti Bhat and the entire Team Unnati for successfully organizing the event.

PCB Design workshop - March 2026

The energy in Room 25 was electric this past Wednesday, March 18, 2026, as Team Unnati (Department of E&CE), in collaboration with CIII, officially inaugurated our highly anticipated PCB Design Workshop.

The ceremony, which commenced at 3:00 PM, was a distinguished gathering of leadership and talent. We were honored to have Dr. K. N. Patil (Dean R&D and Secretary of IE(I), Dharwad Local Center) join us as the Chief Guest to inspire the next generation of hardware innovators. The function was further graced by the presence of our Principal, Dr. R. L. Chakrasali, Dean CIII Dr. Satish Bhairannavar, and HOD ECE Dr. S. A. Joshi.

A huge shout-out to the student organizing team—Mr. Shashank Kavali, Mr.Somesh Kumar M, Mr.Vinayak S Amminbhavi, Ms. Stuti Bhat and the entire Unnati crew—who are working tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure every participant masters the art of layout and fabrication.

  

Ready to get your hands dirty? Here is the main event: With over 20 batches already signed up, this coming Sunday is set to be a deep dive into the world of circuit board excellence.

The Inauguration function of PCB design workshop was graced by Mr. Nikhil Rati Resource Person (Chief Guest), Associate Application Analyst, Tyson Foods, Bangalore, Principal Dr. Ramesh L. Chakrasali, Dean CIII Dr. Satish S. Bhairannawar, In-charge HOD Dr. K N Hosur.

PCB Design wokrhsop May 23/03/2025

 

Hello friends,

Department of E&CE, Team Unnati is planning to organize PCB design workshop on 23/03/2025 in the Dept. of E&CE, SDMCET in association with IE(I) Dharwad Local centre. On 22/03/2025 Online session from 6.30 to 8.00PM will be there. If you are interested to attend the workshop, you can fill the details of your batch. Each batch can have maximum two students. If only one student is in the batch they can repeat the same name. If you got selected, you will be receiving message (As maximum 15 batches will be slected). The registration fee is Rs. 500/- per batch. The certificate will be issued to all the participants after the training program. All the components will be provided during the training and after the training the circuit can be taken by the participants.  

Selection will be based on first come first serve.
