We are delighted to share that Team Unnati, Department of ECE, successfully conducted a PCB Design Workshop for students from various engineering colleges in association with IEI DLC.

This workshop aimed to bridge the gap between theory and practical implementation by providing participants with hands-on experience in Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design and fabrication—a critical skill in modern electronics and innovation. (Skubotics)

The PCB Design workshop is inaugurated by Dr. K. N. Patil, Honorary Secretary IEI DLC Dharwad & Dean R&D, SDMCET, Mr. Pramod Vaidya Office manager IEI DLC, Dr. Satish S. Bhairannawar, Dean CIII, SDMCET, Dr. S. A. Joshi HOD E&CE, SDMCET and Staff coordinator Dr. S. V. Viraktamath. 

Students from following Engineering College have participated in the PCB Design workshop.

1) KLS GIT Belagavi. 2) KLEIT, Hubballi, 3) AMBIT, Belagavi, 4) JGI JCET Hubballi,     5) JGI JCET Belagavi and 6) JGI JCER Belagavi and 7) SDMCET EE Dept. students 

Valedictory:

Alumni Mr. Vaibhav Naidu visited the workshop and interacted with the students. 

 Mrs. Charitha Kallihal and Mrs Madhuri Huyilagil were guests and both addressed the students in room no 25. 

Participants learnt all the steps of PCB preparation including scrubbing, ironing, etching, drilling, soldering and testing.

Congratulations to student coordinators and team Unnati members as you all successfully organized the PCB Design workshop for other engineering college students. All the batches got output.

We saw a surge in registrations for the PCB Design workshop within a few hours. However, I have not considered any registrations from SDMCET at this time, and now i have closed the registrations. The registration details are listed below. They may receive a call or message from the student coordinators soon."  

We may consider only 20 batches (max) for the workshop, hence as soon as you receive a message or call - confirm your registration by paying the fees, schedule and other details will be shared soon.

Department of E&CE and CIII Successfully Host PCB Design Workshop

On March 22, 2026, the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering (E&CE), in collaboration with CIII at SDMCET, successfully organized a comprehensive PCB Design Workshop. Coordinated by members of Team Unnati, the event saw enthusiastic participation from 18 teams, comprising 36 students.

The workshop proved to be a resounding success, with all participating batches achieving functional outputs on the very same day, marking a 100% success rate. The event was further enriched by the presence of distinguished alumni, who visited the venue to address the students and share valuable insights during interactive sessions.

Thanks to SDMCET Management, Principal Dr R. L. Chakrasali, Dean CIII Dr. Satish Bhairannawar and Smt. Vidya, HOD Dr. S. A. Joshi, all staff of ECE, special thanks to Dr. S. S. Kerur, Dr. K. N. Patil and Mr. Bhimappa.

Congratulations to Mr. Shashank Kavali, Mr.Somesh Kumar M, Mr.Vinayak S Amminbhavi, Ms. Stuti Bhat and the entire Team Unnati for successfully organizing the event.
